First she was Santogold, then had to change it to Santigold, but no matter the moniker,this badass bitch's (born Santi White) music is stellar and is popping up everywhere. After catching an intimate yet amazing performance at PS14 2 years ago, I've been obsessively listening to her debut album for over a year now (& so has the musical director at Entourage apparently.) I thought it was time to share my love (again) for this incredible woman, often referred to as the American M.I.A with all of you, because if you didn't know, now you do, Santigold is official.

Santogold goes on tour...but not stopping in Miami again!

Santogold is on tour in support of self-titled debut album. i saw her perform at ps14, back in july '07, and i've been absolutely crazy about her since, so i wasn't too annoyed when her songs were played in the background of commercials all summer long. she was supposed to play Lollapalooza, but bailed to open for Coldplay. you can check out her dates here, sadly she's not coming to Miami, but hopefully she will in the new year, or maybe, just maybe she'll play Langerado.

ok so i love Chucks- high tops in particular- and to celebrate their 100th Anniversary they had Pharrell from N.E.R.D, Santogold and Julian Casablancas put together a track, which i have mentioned previously. now there's an awesome video to go along with it. oh and there's an interview with Pharrell & Santogold too you can check out here. it's a bit slow paced but pretty good.

coldplay played a free show? oh yeah...

last night COLDPLAY did a free gig in NY, which i completely forgot about, because i didn't win tickets & more importantly i was at the amazing and fanastic MODEST MOUSE show with whitney, monty and christian (more on that later.) but to see a bunch of great pics from coldplay's show at the Garden you can check them out here. oh and it turns out the reigning queen of awesomeness SANTOGOLD will be opening for them for a handful of shows.

ok enough with the shouting i apologise i'm a proper prat. now to something wonderfully delightly musically delicious...a track featuring the goddess divine Santi White otherwise known as SANTOGOLD, the sexiest brown motherf#$%er on the planet (sorry blair underwood/usher & abdul) but none other than Pharrell ( oh yeah + Chad so technically N.E.R.D) and the man the myth the talented and not disgusting/not a junkie American version of pete doherty Julian Casablancas. check it out here of all places! another reason why they are one of the coolest footwear providers in the universe.
