I'm a sucker for an accent...
which is one of the many reasons why I'm crazy about Mike Skinner otherwise known as The Streets.
Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way
Empty Cans [has been stuck in my head for the past 3 days]

trailer trash - Labor Pains
I jokingly posted about Lindsay Lohan yesterday for the first time ever and coincidentally learned some news about her career later in the day that just made my post seem even more relevant and sad. It turns out that the last movie she worked on, "Labor Pains," is going straight to cable. Considering she's more known for her antics than her acting these days, it's not too shocking, yet still pretty sad, since I've watched The Parent Trap [last Sunday for probably the 23rd time, before Natasha Richardson was in her fatal/tragic skiing accident] and Mean Girls [every weekend sophomore year of college] more times than anyone ever should. The comments alone at the end of the article are ridiculous, entertaining, true and a myriad of other adjectives I can't even begin to list. So here it is folks, Lindsay's second to last role.

please take a moment to Rock the F out to - Hercules & Love Affair
I held off on posting about this silly named group from Brooklyn for a while because I thought my enjoyment of their music was just a flash in the pan. But I found myself humming and dancing to "Blind" while making dinner the other night and guess it kind of stuck. I can't wait to rock out to them this weekend at Ultra!

Short Shout Outs
I've been meaning to do this for a while, but just didn't get around to it.
My first short shout out is to Elton John, who's music I keep hearing whether it's on every oldies station, the supermarket and a myriad of TV shows and movies. Elton actually turned 63 yesterday so I want to also take the chance to wish him a Happy Birthday and thank him for ALL of his amazing tunes, I even have "Don't Shoot Me I'm just the Piano Player" album cover in my office and it's the only one that's not actually a film or stage soundtrack.
Rocket Man
Someone Saved My Life Tonight

My 2nd shout out is to Jimmi Simpson, a shockingly gifted character actor that plays creepy, and smug with such ease and hilarity he always makes an impression.
If you watch The Late Show with David Letterman you may have seen him as "Lyle The Intern,(pictured above)" where he goes toe-to-toe with Dave and generally steals the segment. He recently also appeared in the season finale of "Psych" and as a priest with serious issues on "House."

Shop Bar Grand Opening Photos
So last Thursday night was the Grand Opening of Shop Bar, a boutique that offers mens and womens vintage and high end fair, inside of The Black Sheep Lounge (formerly Laundry Bar.) Two old friends, Mariana & Carolina are the owner and manager of this fantastic new store, that you much check out, & kindly asked me to model at their opening event, along with a few other beautiful ladies. We got our hair did, makeup made, and clothes styled by the baddest bitches in town, all in all it was a fantastic night and here are the pictures to prove it.
Mariana & Carolina
The Miffmaster himself Dylan Lewis & Lu
Makeup Maestro Alejandro
It's great seeing old friends, I've known these ladies for a combined total of 30 years & yes I'm aware that's longer than we've been alive.
Hair Geniuses and I mean it, they did an incredible job
& yes I am busting out "The Robot!"
What do you expect that's how I roll, who I am & the title of this blog bitches!
A short poem to Lindsay Lohan from the Media
"Why"
I am so sad because I worship you,
I know: that your flourishing youth
Will not be spared by the gossip's persecution.
For every sunny day or bit of sweet illusion
You'll pay the fate with tears and your pine.
I'm sad... 'cause you're so gay and fine.

trailer trash - Away We Go
Sam Mendes came to town last summer for 2 weeks to shoot a sequence in this movie. I don't know if it made the final cut, but I didn't recognize the location in this endearing trailer.I love the cast and am totally digging John Krasinski with a homeless man beard.

trailer trash - Where the Wild Things Are
Oh Spike how I've missed you so and I'm so glad you're back with this unbelievable epic and beautiful looking film. Plus I'm a fan of any trailer that includes an Arcade Fire song
If I Ever Feel Better
I've been nuts about this song for a while but even more, since it was the closing credits on Entourage last fall. If you haven't head of Phoenix yet they're great and will be the musical guest on SNL this weekend, (Seth Rogen will host) to help promote their new and supposedly incredibly new album "Wolfgang Amadaeus Phoenix"

Fred Simmons, King of the Demo
Before he was the incredibly brilliant Kenny Powers, or the Stunt Coordinator from Hell in Tropic Thunder, Danny McBride was Fred Simmons in "The Foot Fist Way."
Check out the hilarious trailer below and his karate demo when he was on Conan 2 years back.

I wasn't inspired until I saw this video
I haven't done much posting in the past few days, because I've been busy, but just haven't been that inspired, til today when I came across thie interview of Russell Brand interviewing Will Ferrell. Random/crazy I know, but it was quite delightful and was just the right swift comedy kick (to my non-existent gonads) that I needed, now please enjoy.

Even crazier than the dream I had this morning
The Dream
The glen of Daghestan, at noon, was hot and gleaming;
I lay on sand with lead sent to my heart,
My deadly wound was deep and easily steaming;
And, drop by drop, was oozing out blood.
I lay on sand of this small glen, alone;
High cliffs surrounded my motionless head.
The sun was scorching their yellow stone
And scorching me; but I was sleeping, dead.
And I daydreamed of homeland and evening:
A feast was glittering with celebrating lights;
Young women, garlanded with flowers, were sitting,
With gaily talk about me all night.
But one of them sat there, sunk in musing,
Not taking part in this light-hearted talk,
Her youthful soul, the world of real loosing,
In jungles of dreams sorrowfully walked.
She dreamed of Daghestan: the glen was hot and gleaming --
And someone, familiar, lay on the ground, dead,
The fatefull wound was black and easily steaming,
And cooling blood was spreading on the sand.
