I love the US Open

It turns out that there's record attendance at the US Open this year. The tournament is expecting 780,000 people during the fortnight, which is 180,000 people more than were watching tennis 10 years ago. I'm just happy people are excited about tennis. Especially people aside from John McEnroe, who has apparently covered almost every major match that's happened since the tournament has started. He's actually spent so much time in the booth, the rest of the crew is wondering when was the last time he slept. "Sleep is overrated" was his response. Soon after a new stat popped up on screen:

MCENROE COMPARISON
Hours covered: 96
Hours slept: 12

And now he's talking about the air guitar championships & guitar hero, while they cut to the live music being performed out on the plaza.

I'm glad Venus Williams is winning 6-1, 1-1 in the 2nd set, so the team can shoot the breeze during the beating Radwanska is getting.
