"Role Models" Review

David Wain's new comedy "Role Models" stars Paul Rudd (who co-wrote the film with Wain,) and Seann William Scott, who play energy drink salesman that end up having to do community service after a hilarious and ridiculous accident ensues at a high school they were promoting the drink at occurs. They end up at "Sturdy Wings" a mentoring program run by former a straight, and sometimes crazy talking former drug addict, played by the brilliant and insane Jane Lynch, where Rudd and Scott end up as "Bigs" to the 2 most unlikely kids, Chrisopher Mintz-Plasse (McLovin from Superbad,) an uber-nerd obsessed with a live action Dungeons and Dragons/World of War Craft role playing game, and a foul mouthed 8 year old named Ronnie, played by the maginificent Bobb'e J. Thompson that could probably out curse Chris Rock. While I've had a crush on Paul Rudd since Clueless and didn't think he could ever be more amazing than he was in Wet Hot American Summer*, he proved to me he was a leading man in this film.

I've been a David Wain fan since "The State" was on MTV in the early 90's and he's really matures, stepped up his game and still works with the brilliantly talented people he worked with then, like Ken Marino (who I am now convinced is Zach Braff's brother from another mother after this movie.) If you want to laugh and listen to kids and adults with filthy mouths and filthier minds GO SEE THIS MOVIE. Not only is it hilarious, but it's got a lot of heart and legitimately enjoyable. My rating 9.2/10

[*possibly one of THE greatest comedies you'll EVER watch]

I coincidentally saw these containers right after I saw the movie and was inspired to shoot them. Though the tag line isn't as exciting as Minotaur's "Taste the Beast!""Piercing enery that strikes back," is just as awesome/awful.

How I spent Veterans Day

It was such a beautiful day out, that after watching 4 episodes of "Band of Brothers" I had to get a couple of shots off.

do you think about me now and then? do you think about me now and then?

with all these posts about Kanye and Coldplay I just had to post this
"Homecoming"

"Mad" Fashion

Now that "Mad Men" has been off the air for about a month I'm slowly but surely going into withdrawal. I haven't gone so far as to buy the first season just to get my fix on Don and Betty, but I've been watching A LOT of Hitchcok's films, that were actually filmed during that era, so I could bask in the glamour, style and elegance the Hitchcock Blonde had,(Grace Kelly & Eva Marie Saint in particular,) and what Betty Draper emulates. Jon Hamm was recently photographed for Vogue Magazine by Mario Testino and the shoot looks pretty stunning. I may have to against my better judgement and actually by something that involves Jennifer Aniston (she's on the cover this month) and buy the issue. I've posted the behind the scenes video below.

why hello there

I figured I'd make up for not posting in so long (and the dirge of "Twilight" posts) with some cleavage...you're welcome

So I finally got my disposable camera from this summer developed and I remembered why I hate using them, the picture quality is crap at best and you never know what you're gonna get til it's over and done with. well here are some pics from the Radiohead Show in May in West Palm, Kanye West at American Airlines Arena (as well as what the shows actually looked like,) nights out in the Grove and Lollapalooza.
