trailer trash- Changeling

"Changeling" is the new Clint Eastwood drama starring Angelina Jolie. the trailer below will give you a better idea of the plot, but the main reason i'm posting this is because the film co-stars "Burn Notice's" Jeffrey Donovan! this is an incredibly high profile for him, considering Clint's films that happen to be serious family focused dramas are usually Oscar bait (see: Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby) & the movie is a period piece so we all get to get transported to a different time, which is usually pretty exciting.

the British rapper Mike Skinner that is, who just happened to release his 4th album "everything is borrowed" which hasn't gotten the best reviews, though i'm crazy about the song and the video for 2nd single, "the escapist," they're both very beautiful and intriguing. apparently success has lead to crappy rhymes since he's no longer depressed, but what i always loved about "the streets" is mike's ability to make the mundane, the typical day to day and the heart breaking aspects of life, worth rapping about. and when he isn't able to rap about it, he just puts it in his blog.

anyhoo 2 of the videos below are from his 3rd album "the hardest way to make an easy living," though his true genius can be heard in his debut album "original pirate material," which is divine, and in his second album "a grand don't come for free," which is totally and utterly epic! each song on the album tells a story about what was happening in Mike's life and by the end all is illuminated.

i just happened to have "such a twat" from "a grand don't come for free" stuck in my head, but sadly there's no actual video for it,but you can listen to the song below

"pranging out" the opening track & single from "hardest way to make an easy living." i don't know what the concept of this video is (it seems a bit like "the shining" towards the end to be honest,) but this is one of his "bigger" songs.

The Project Runway Finale Part 1 - the greatest show on earth!

I'm in love with Tim Gunn and LOVE when he meets the familes and friends of the finalists. Especially on a bicycle built for 2!?! The only thing that would be better would be, Heidi, Michael Kors & Tim Gunn on a bicycle built for 3. Nina's too stern to ever do something so fun/silly.

how i spent (part of) my birthday

Since my family was out of town on business and i was forced to have a pseudo "16 Candles"-esque birthday, i decided to buy myself some presents or at least look for one at Bal Harbour...

though my main reason to head up there was to spend some time with the man/artist i love the most right now, Mr. Marc Jacobs

I then found myself worshipping at the feet of the dearly departed Mr. Yves Saint Laurent

The Killers have released their new single "Human" 2 weeks ago and the only super great copy i could find is here. though someone has made their own video with lyrics on youtube. usually, i'm not a fan of these, but this one openly divulges that it's not sure what the actually lyrics are there's some silliness during the bridge.
