Ring The Alarm...oh wait nevermind, no need

I came back from lunch yesterday guns, blazin, fully prepared to kick ass and take names to end the week off right. But there were no emergencies and nothing major to oversee, and no need for me to "Ring The Alarm." I've felt an overwhelming amount of anxiety this week for reasons unknown, but I'm finally breathing easier. I definitely still wanted to rock out to this song, because Beyonce kills it and looks amazing in every scene, while paying homage to a few film femme fatales.

"I don't care what nobody says I'm gonna be his lover"

While sharing my love of Lykke Li last week, I forgot to share her cover of "Knocked Up" by Kings of Leon. Originally they asked her to do a remix of the song and it evolved from there.

Even more love for Lykke Li , Kanye West and Santigold

"Gifted"

"Anywhere I go I don't behave, got so many clothes I'm on my way..."

I blatantly stole this from Nick's blog, but am willing to own up to it, because "I know" I can't take credit.

trailer trash - Adventureland

I'll basically sit through anything featuring Bill Hader or Kristen Stewart and to add some icing on the cake, Ryan Reynolds and Kristen Wigg are also in it this indie-gem that was all the rave at Sundance last month.

please take a moment to Rock the F out to - U2

So I woke up this morning with the opening riff of U2's Vertigo in my head completely out of nowhere, since I haven't listened to it or that album in over a year. I then thought to myself what a great band to feautre on "please take a moment to Rock the F out," but it turns out that all the songs I wanted to post's embed codes have been disabled. I was too lazy to come up with any other solution than to just post the links for each amazing song, except for their newest single "Get On Your Boots," because it was available.

Their new album, No Line On The Horizon, comes out next Tuesday and to promote it they'll be playing on The Late Show with David Letterman EVERYDAY NEXT WEEK. Ladies and germs now please enjoy a few tracks from U2.

More "Watchmen" madness

Last week in between the blitzkrieg of New York Fashion Week posts I inundated you with, I posted about the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly that featured Dr. Manhattan on the cover. Well it turns out that there were actually 6 different covers [featured above] for each Superhero. They're all badass but surprisingly enough I'm not that into Matthew Goode's cover as Ozymandias, mainly because he's unrecognizable.

Anyhoozie, the UK Premiere was last night, which got me excited because it means the US one is not far off and March 6 will finally be here. I'm still not sure whether or not I'm going to see this ouevre at 12:01 AM Friday (it is almost 3 hours long and I have to go to work the next day) or devote my entire Friday evening to it. Either which way I'll keep you posted. Below are some pics from the premiere.

I just came across this on a friend's Facebook wall and had to share, because it made my day nad kind of reminded me of something that ended up on the cutting room floor at "Wonder Showzen" because it just wasn't crazy enough
