The handshake's stuck on the tip of my tongue, it tastes like death but it looks like fun...

"The Handshake"

Wind It Up!

This song immediately popped into my head this morning while talking about old school wind up alarm clocks

And after watching that I just had to post more of Gwen's solo stuff.
I’m kind of ashamed of how much I love this remix to “Yummy” featuring Pharrell who I still need to say this to.

"What You Waiting For"

Moby featuring Gwen Stefani “South Side”

“Cool” (Which happens to be one of my favorite songs period and aspirations)

Ad Fad - Chanel

I can totally see myself in this outfit, but not so much in this desolately empty house.

Spring campaign ads are rolling out each day and some are so just so dope I had to share.

Be on the lookout for- Bliss Lau

"Diamond Top"

"Tuxedo"

Bliss Lau is an accessories line with an innovative and antiquated aesthetic. There was some controversy last summer when model Erin Wasson debuted her new Jewelry Line LowLuv at Alexander Wang's Fall '08 show because her pieces looked very, very similar to those of Bliss'. Elle Magazine actually features the same diamond harness necklace in every shot of the "Lounge Act" spread.

January '09 Issue

Erin Wasson's Diamond Harness (above & below)

E. Wass aside, Bliss Lau's collections are exciting, innovative, provocative and just downright cool (so much so MGMT was styled in some Bliss Lau and almost nothing else in Interview Magazine back in October.)

I tried on these "Sleeves" on my birthday and they were beyond cool, but like 600 something dollars.

**UPDATE: Be on the Lookout has now been appropriately monikered BOLO.

By the By

As I mentioned earlier I love Panic Bomber so check him out at The Vagabond!

Could January Jones be more gorgeous?

For those of you who don't know who January Jones is, she stars as Betty Draper, the ultimate Hithcock Blonde and woman on the verge, as well as Don Draper's wife on The Best Show on TV, "Mad Men." The woman is a knockout with skin as smooth and pure as milk, not to mention she's also incredibly talented. Vanity Fair has an intriguing feature on her and accompanying photos shot by Patrick Demarchelier in the February issue, that features, Goddess Divine, Cate Blanchett on the cover.

Just a little taste

...before the Australian Open starts in a week and a half!

Pray The Devil Back to Hell

absolutely beautiful and inspiring

I still love "Scrubs"

Scrubs is back for it's 8th and final season, which will be airing on ABC. The show is just as funny as it was when it began I stand by that statement since I've been a fan since the first time they ever played the opening theme song "...I'm no Superman." So much so that people used to refer to me as "Dr. Cox," (actually I think I may have made them do that, but since I was so "intimidating" they gave in,) I call one of my best friends [a Pakistani med student] "Brownbear," I think "Elliot" is actually a really cool name for a girl & I expect every Janitor's real name or their name tag to at least read "Janitor". Plus the show introduced me to the brilliance that is Zach Braff. Of course his broad comedic skills are fantastically displayed on the show, but it also gave him the chance to actually produce and shoot, one of the greatest films of our generation "Garden State," which he wrote, directed, starred in and produced the sountrack for (which he won a Grammy for- random right? But totally an awesome movie & soundtrack.)

I love ZeeB's so much (that's the elongated version of ZB by the by,) that I once followed him down the street after Kelly, Abdul, Amy and I saw "Monty Python's Spamalot." He was with his dad, so I didn't want to approach him, and tell him how much I respect and adore him, and that he's the Jewish boyfriend I always wanted. We made eye contact though, which was good enough for me, and I guess left me a little light headed, because right after I was almost hit by a taxi and some woman pulled me out of the way. Worst case scenario ZB could have used the medical skills he's "learned" on Scrubs to save me... come to think of it I've never actually seen him do any real doctoring on the show.
Anyhoozie, here's a great interview with creator Bill Lawrence and Zach where they answer questions people submitted on ABC.com, from why they changed networks, to what to expect throughout the season. It's adorably entertaining and there's an awesome prize offered at the end! The episodes will probably be available on the ABC website soon enough, but they're also re-airing the first 2 episodes of season 8, tonight. They were so hilarious I'll probably watch them again, plus Courtney Cox is guest starring as the new Chief of Medicine and the unbelievably hilarious Aziz Ansari (you may have seen him on Best Week Ever or Human Giant) plays an intern.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Review

I had been desperate to see "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" since it started principal photography at the start of last year, and than even more so, once the trailers rolled out. Plus the short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, is one of my favorites. The film is a monument to classic American film making, from the moment it begins you are transported to a world very much like the one we live in, but fully immerses itself in believable and tangible fantasy, that at it's core is simply an epic love story. Brad Pitt has never been better or more handsome, Cate Blanchett is her typical brilliant self, Taraji P. Henson is gold and Tilda Swinton is divine as always. The script also hits all the right notes, from dramatic, comedic, and romantic. Clocking in at just under three hours the film is so well acted, directed and produced that you barely realize it. I would recommend this movie to anyone, becuase it truly was a lush, rich, beautiful cinematic achievement, I am honored to have been able to see, and David Fincher should be incredibly proud of, because they really don't make movies like it anymore.

My rating: 10/10. I really wanted to give it a 9-point something, but I just couldn't, it was too beautiful and well done. Plus the film's website is fantastic!

Milk Review

Milk is Gus Van Sant's biopic about Harvey Milk the first openly gay person to hold public office in the US. Sean Penn is stellar as the eponymous character and gives a riveting performance, but Josh Brolin's as City Supervisor and Harvey Milk nemesis, Dan White, was so brilliant, thinking about him still leaves me uneasy. While Sean Penn is Milk, the ensemble that includes an incandescent James Franco, Emile Hirsch is annoyingly bareable, Joseph Cross is sexily serious, Allison Pill is a badass bitch and Diego Luna is the brilliant gay neurotic best friend I never wanted, hold the film together. I must add that the film is gayer than Brokeback, and I mean it's overtly sexual and based on real events and uses actual news footage from the day, but certainly not sexually graphic. Sean Penn will be nominated for a Best Actor Oscar and quite possibly win, which I hope is only one of the reasons as to why you should check out this great film. My rating: 8.9/10

Bask in the glory of "Skins"

I mentioned "Skins" briefly when reviewing "Slumdog Millionaire," but haven't really talked about this show with anyone because I've been keeping it to myself, because it's incredibly addictive. It's a British Drama about a group of English friends, who party like nobodies business and get caught up in antics big and small, as they learn about life, death, sex and each other. The show originally aired on Ch 4 in the UK and airs every Sunday night on BBC America, though when I missed an ep I was able to catch it on youtube thanks to dannyfl89, who has all of season 1 and 2 posted. Each episode is broken up into 5 separate parts but you can watch Season 1 Episode 1 Part 1 (sadly the embedding had been disabled by request.) It's nice to aside from dannyfl89, other people are just as excited about this show, that also features great music and ia a BAFTA (basically the British Oscar) nominee.

I live in a fantasy land....

It's Monday...

so you know what that means...time for another obligatory Liev Schreiber post
