trailer trash - Black Swan

This film isn't due for release until December 1st, but it's already garnering accolades from The Venice International and The Telluride Film Festival as potential Oscar bait (along with being compared to a modern day Single White Female.) While Darren Aronofsky and Natalie Portman's talents are undeniable, and Aronofsky didn't have to try to hard to coax a brilliant and haunting performance out of her as witnessed in the trailer (posted below;) I am most excited to see Vincent Cassel (French superstar and the baddie from Oceans 12) let loose on the American public. It will also be interesting to see how manically maternal Barbara Hershey will be and if Mila Kunis can top herself from her greatest role as ever.

trailer trash - Green Hornet

French genius Michel Gondry directs Academy Award Winner Christoph Waltz (as a villain yet again,) in a big budget action film starring some guy named Seth Rogen... and it's in 3D. I'm sold!

trailer trash - The Town

I love a good crime drama, especially ones with a cast I know can pull off intense material and I know Ben Affleck (who also directed this movie,) Jeremy Renner (who I praised like mad last summer for the Hurt Locker) and Jon Hamm (a guy I've posted about once or twice) certainly can. If this movie is half as good as Affleck's directorial debut Gone Baby Gone, then it's going to be pretty phenomenal.

Fashion's Night Out

Fashion's Night Out is here again and there are so many events to choose from. I was in Paris last year and opted to see the glamorous Dita Von Teese & Gentry de Paris do an amazing burlesque show at Casino de Paris. This year events are happening across all five boroughs on Friday, September 10th and I'm tempted to see my favorite dynamic duo Jack McCullogh and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler, and swing by Opening Ceremony to since it's one of the coolest stores around.
