Lex Luthor asks for a bailout

What does this say about me?

So someone I'm "friends with on Facebook" [meaning I wouldn't be able to spot them if they were standing in front of me or pretending to be a monkey on my back,] posted this video and I got excited because I thought it was Jay-Z and The Roots doing a cover of Renegeade by Styx, but clearly it is not.

So I figured I'd post THE REAL version of Renegade for my pleasure and amusement, while you just scratched your heads or rocked out. Enjoy!

photo envy - Ultra Music Festival Roundup

Originally this post was titled "A Whole Lotta Love" when I drafted it on Sunday. Though exhaustion finally kicked in and I wasn't able to finish it (let alone barely post anything this week) til now. So Ultra Music Festival was positively ACE! The music was fantastic, but the best part was that I got to share it with people I've known & loved over the course of the past 20 years! I love and appreciate them all & am incredibly thankful to have such an array of great friends. Especially those that took pictures and posted them on Facebook because I'm too clumsy to carry an actual camera around with me, I have "borrowed" theirs. First I want give a short shout out to those who truly made this weekend worth while.

Sarah Aasbo - thanks for coming down from NYC, I hope you had a great time
Rob Andrews - see you at Coachella for even more raging
Zach Burr - thank you for telling me you once thought I was a bitch, but now really like me it was hilarious
Kaki Campbell - you are always so calm, cool & collected and I love it
Jake Coley - you quite possibly are the human embodiment of a Brett Easton Ellis character & a beautiful enigma
Ken Dolan - can't wait to see you at Swamp Stomp
Travis Gordon - we need to rage more
Kevin Kaltenbacher - you quite possibly are probably still one of the smartest kids I'll ever know Dennis Lang - I want to know where you got that splendid hat
Rob Letscher - you quite possibly have the kindest smile on the planet
Alexi Luger - don't quit your day job you have NO future in [Arepa] theft
Kyle Michas - I have one word, about THE coolest kid I met at boarding school : logorrhea
Eric Morales - you'll forever be my neighbor
Justin Namon - your pictures are effortlessly awesome
Amanda Rouse - one beautiful lady inside and out
Whitney Roux - thanks for spotting my bangs
Wes Samuel- I really do wish I had gotten to see your "glowstick routine" Monte Shalett - I commend you for surviving a night in that wasteland with those 2 "ladies" you were with
Case Watson - you are the sunshine of my life ("in a totally platonic maudlin way")
Olivia Wolfe - to my first friend ever, all I can say is DOTBLOGSPOTDOTCOM. Oh and I'm pretty sure
this song is going to be stuck in my head for the next months and I have 0 problem with it.

please take a moment to chillt he F out to - Corinne Bailey Rae

I had this CD once but lost it to an ex and gained his Raconteurs album in return. Coincidentally Ms. Bailey Rae covered Mr.White and Co.'s rockin jam "Steady As She Goes" so I guess that's the happy medium of that exchange.

Oh what a world

The light was so beautiful I had to take a pic, but it didn't seem to capture the essence of what I saw, oh well.

Soderbergh's gf exp

I initially heard about "The Girlfriend Experience," last Halloween but was too distracted by the mention of a live action 3-D Cleoptra musical to really take note . The biggest issue surrounding the film is that porn star Sasha Grey plays a $10,000-a-night call girl in the film but the most intriguing fact is that it will be simultaneously distributed in theaters, on DVD and on the HDNet movie channel by Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner’s HDNet label. The distribution approach is fascinating and a bit revoulutionary knd of like Radiohead's In Rainbows. I love me some Soderbergh and he is by far one of my all time favorite directors so hopefully I'll have the chance to check this project out.

trailer trash - The Edge of Love

I was pretty darn excited for this film last summer, when it premiered at The Venice Film Festival, but I'm not sure if it's even going to open down here. Either which way it looks lush, lovely and is based on a true story, which is even more riveting than the fact that it stars 3 of the most beautiful people on the planet.

It's Monday...

you know what that means, time for another Liev Schreiber post

Porbably THE best thing to come out in relation to the Watchmen being turned into a movie...

As you may or may not have noticed, I never wrote a review for "Watchmen." After almost 8 months of posting about the movie, a countdown clock, and shout outs to the cast, I barely even mention that I'd seen it. I'll get into that once I finally write a review, but I just had to share this since I thought it was pretty entertaining.
