LEGO turns 30!

i absolutely loved LEGOs growing up and i kinda wish i could still play with or utilise them in a functional way in my life now. apparently Opening Ceremony, a really innovative clothing store, and the fashion line Band of Outsiders have teamed up to do and celebrate LEGO's birthday. Opening Ceremony has not only redesigned the inside of their LA store to fully incorporate LEGO in to the presentation of the merchandise, but Band of Outsiders has LEGO men modeling their clothes too. you can check out the site they created here, though i've posted some of my favorite LEGO related pics below.

Alexander Wang got his year off with a bang. Or three. After showing his pre-fall collection and having Diane Von Furstenberg mentor him, the designer just rolled out the online lookbook for his new diffusion line T by Alexander Wang this week. And, as expected, we're buying it all. First announced last August, the line features 12 styles of comfortable T-shirt dresses, tanks, and shirts that look already worn-in, slept-in, and partied-in, all for a third of what his regular line costs — a V-neck dress is $85, a tank dress is $89, a boatneck dress is $85, and a sleeveless tee is $74. And you won't have to wait much longer to get your hands on pieces — the line will hit stores by the end of this month, a representative told us today. Barneys New York, Opening Ceremony, and Kirna Zabête are all confirmed to stock the line, and the clothes are available for pre-order now on SaksFifthAvenue.com. So, come Fashion Week, you'll have something new and affordable to wear. Win win!

Fashion's Night Out

Fashion's Night Out is here again and there are so many events to choose from. I was in Paris last year and opted to see the glamorous Dita Von Teese & Gentry de Paris do an amazing burlesque show at Casino de Paris. This year events are happening across all five boroughs on Friday, September 10th and I'm tempted to see my favorite dynamic duo Jack McCullogh and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler, and swing by Opening Ceremony to since it's one of the coolest stores around.
