Thom Yorke plays a new solo single

This past weekend at The Latitude Festival in Suffolk, Mr. Yorke took some time off from fronting the greatest band in the universe and played a solo set. While there he also played a new song, that has no title but's going by "The Present Tense." Enjoy!

Ed O'Brien please give me some of your DNA...or at least consider impregnating me in 5 years

hands down Radiohead is THE GREATEST BAND ON THE PLANET. thom, johnny, colin, phil and ed are beyond brilliant, so i thought i'd share this video of them performing "Reckoner" in what could be a cupboard for all i know, based on it's size. while thom is the ("fetus like-looking face") and heaven sent voice of the band, phil throws down on the drums like nobodies business in all of his bald glory, colin lays the bass down better than almost everyone in the land, johnny is the "mutli-instrumentalist," and ed is the Other guitar player and most beautiful member (if you're into tall, pale thin, digitally talented men of course.) now please enjoy

and since the video ends with a little intro to "15 step" how could i not include it

bjork and thom yorke made a musical baby

so Björk and Thom Yorke have worked on a track together for charity. but this just gives me a a reason to post Bjork's "all is full of love," which was stuck in my head non-stop last week. the song will probably be the greatest thing ears have ever heard, but i guess we'll find out on the 20th.

a closer look at "the odd couple"

one of my oldest friends recently sent me this Gnarls Barkely cover of Radiohead's "The Reckoner." this is one of my favorite songs off "In Rainbows," and the band certainly knows how to play the track, but Cee-Lo sure as hell ain't Thom Yorke.

this video in turn lead me to "who's gonna save my soul?" a beautiful track off their 2nd album "the odd couple."

which in my opinon is a stark contrast to "st. elsewhere" only because it is so mature comparatively. each track is much darker than the upbeat fun house that was "st. elsewhere." "going on" is a perfect example of such. though it's at a fast tempo, it certiainly isn't as frenetic as "transformer" or familiar as "crazy"

maybe that's why they chose "run" as the 1st single, because it's the most accessible.
