please take a moment to Chill the F out to...John Mayer

Live From Abbey Road is a great program on The Sundance Channel that features live performances and interviews of artists from a great many genres. While the rest of the videos are from when he launched his last album, the enduring beautiful and serene, "Continuum" in New York in the Fall of '06.

Belief
[by the by there's a whole lot of yapping before this fantastic song]

Gravity
"...is one of the most important songs I've ever written. It's an experiment for me in not explaining everything in the song..."

Slow Dancing in a Burning Room
[this song is soooooooooooo beautiful, but the best part is when he sings some of the lyrics from Thom Yorke's "Eraser" at the 4:26 mark!]

I Don't Trust Myself with Loving You
[story of my life part 1]

Waiting on The World To Change

My Stupid Mouth
[story of my life part 2]

No Such Thing

Bigger Than My Body

Vultures
[he get's all chatty in The Abbey Road performance of this song, but this version performed by The John Mayer Trio is where it's at]

I appreciate you...John Mayer

This is a new feature that came about as a way for me to show some appreciation to the people, artists, et all that really move me.
The original draft of this post was full of flowery prose that touched on Mr. Mayer's personal life, antics and other silliness, but I'm just going to keep things short and simple since this post is really about me enjoying and appreciating the product the artist puts out and respecting that vision, though in this case the focus is not a new song.
This is a video John shot while alone on vacation in Japan last week, that I found endearing and reminiscent of "Lost in Translation." It's really inspired me to take a trip alone (as soon as possible) just to clear my head. You can check out the other video's on his page, and you can see him perform tonight on Conan with the esteemed John Mayer Trio. If you've never seen or heard them, they're stellar (Steve Jordan is a musical genius of infinite proportion, and Pino Palladino's bass skills can soothe the soul.) In the meantime please enjoy and know that I also appreciate you fine readers for taking the time to read this and all my other posts!

"She's always buzzing just like neon, neon..."

Agyness is THE hottest model in fashion right now (& an obsession of mine for over a year) and this shoot proves why. Shot by the brilliant and renowned Patrick Demarchelier, Agy rocks Spring's neon trends like nobodies business. I can't wait to reincoperate these colors and wear looks inspired by my favorite Spring trend. By the by if you click on each individual photo you can get a closer look and read the credits of each fantastic look. & I apologize for quoting John Mayer in the title but the line just worked.

john mayer is a crazy SoB but a damn talented one

i try to post about John Mayer as little as possible, because while i find him incredibly talented and i legitimately enjoy his music, sadly there is always more focus on he's dating. and coincidentally it's always someone i wish would disappear off the face of the earth.with that said i have to give him props for the absurdity below, his ability to sing some Stevie acapella and gives props to the [hopefully] next President of the United States

this isn't too surprising to be perfectly honest...

the link below details the rest of what supposedly happened. to be be honest this isn't too surprising considering mr. mayer's proclivity for all around silliness that is just full of homo erotocism can be seen here, here and here. That general disposition coupled with massive amounts of alcohol on New Year's Eve and Jessica Simpson's stupidity, he probably just got shitfaced and couldn't tell the difference between each buxom blonde.
but i have no problem admitting i'm kinda jealous of perez. JM is looking pretty fine these days and the fact that i can't stop listening to his duet, "a lesson learned," with Alicia Keys on her new album has kept him in moderate musical rotation.

people that steal from john mayer and pass it off as their own are lame

so i never got around to posting that maroon 5 video but i eventually will seeing as that they are about to go on tour with the counting crows (yeah they're still around) i'll have plenty of time to get to them later.

while at Langerado (there are a few pics posted on my Facebook account) i was enjoying the awesomeness of the music, the hippies, but more importantly the benevento-russo duo when i felt compelled to contact an ex -not the one you're thinking of and who shall just be referred to as "He who shall not be named" or "Voldemort" (based on our past experience, the fact that he's not worth talking about my name bc he'll only get off on it & the fact they bare an eery resemblance to each other in certain aspects) until JK Rowling asks me not to.
So i sent voldemort a text on saturday evening that read: "hope you're doing well just wanted to say hello...hello." Considering he had called me thursday evening before i went to the festival, to talk about god knows what, because i was distracted with packing and was barely paying attention, but still responding and being cordial, i thought my attempt at communication was kind, thoughtful and obviously well intentioned. Though my text was promptly replied to with: "Please stop contacting me."
The remainder of the text-ersation need not be shared since it basically involved me informing voldemort he was more full of shit than i remember & that once he came to his senses he'd realize i was a fantastic friend to have, which was truly his loss.
What bothers me the most is not his hypocrisy, he's obviously a waste of space & clearly not right in the head, but what irked me is that i'm about 99.999999999% sure he was compelled to be so rude by basically stealing directly from John Mayer...Yes John Mayer. I know this may seem like I'm the crazy one, but voldemort is a HUGE fan of John Mayer to the point where he reads his blog and listens to his music religiously and if he had the opportunity to make out with him he would. This may just be coincidence but the day between voldemort called me and I sent him that text Mr. Mayer posted this. The post no longer exists on JM's blog but I had to share my findings with the world, vent and just say: how fucking lame. Granted I could be wrong and I'm the lame one for coming to this conclusion, but repeatedly calling & contacting someone, then telling them to stop contacting you in almost the same breath, is just callow, but we already knew that's exactly who voldemort is.

DISCLAIMER: I heart John Mayer and respect him as an artist not for whoever he decides to put his dick in.
