Who is MGMT?

For months music mags and bloggers have been clamoring for a hint of what Celebration the follow-up to MGMT's fantastically enjoyable Oracular Spectacular, would sound like. When the album leaked, well before it's April 13th release date, they decided to share it with the world at WHO IS MGMT? In the opening track the boys ask "How will I know if it's working?" While they're unsure, I certainly think it is, while at times it is reminiscent of The Beach Boys "Pet Sounds," & early Serge Gainsbourg, it is incredibly original and psychedelic. Last week I posted a few photos I loved by Hedi Slimane, and this weekend I found several more. Hedi actually photographed a really intriguing feature for Dazed and Confused's January issue about British Teenagers. The feature, coupled with my love of "Skins" just made me want to post more of Hedi's work.

All this focus on the British Youth made me think of "The Youth" by MGMT
